Overview

Caroline joined IMMMA Advocates in 2010. In 2013 she was admitted as an advocate of the High of Tanzania and Courts subordinate thereto. She then worked with IMMMA Advocates as an Associate until in January 2019 when she was made a Partner of the said IMMMA Advocates. In October 2019, she founded PIER advocates.

She possesses a verse experience in Employment law practice,telecommunication, corporate compliance, real estate, corporate contracts, mining and commercial litigation. She is the founding Partner of Pier Advocates and currently the Managing Partner of the Firm.

Notable Experience

Caroline advised Telecommunication Companies such as Facebook Inc, WhatsApp, Vodacom Tanzania PLC, Airtel Tanzania PLC and MIC Tanzania. She also offered Corporate compliance services to both business and not for profit organisations ranging from their pre-registration, registration and their dissolution such as Company secretarial services to Global Fluids International, CISPA, Davis and Robis Company Limited, Vee Trending (T) Ltd, ABG Company Limited, North Mara Gold Mine Limited, Bulyanhulu Gold Mine Limited, Pangea Minerals Limited, CCBRT, Christophel Blinden Mission (CBM), Under the same sun (UTSS), Intra health, Save the Children, Pact Tanzania, Technoserve Inc, Pathfinder, Etihad, African Underground Mining Services Limited and Nakumat Tanzania Limited.

Being a litigant, she represents her clients both in Courts of law, tribunals and in Alternative Dispute Mechanisms such as negotiations, mediation, local and International Arbitration. She has litigated for Standard Chartered Bank, National Bank of Commerce, Ecobank Tanzania Limited, Pride Tanzania Limited, Tanesco, Puma Energy Tanzania Limited, Unilever (T) Limited, New Forest, Asco World Norge AS, Tredcor (T) Limited, Nakumat (T) Ltd, Etihad, Coastal Aviation, Bulyanhulu Gold Mine Limited, North Mara Gold Mine Limited, Pangea Minerals Limited, Bati Services, Uranex Tanzania Limited, African Explosives Limited. She has notably handled a multi- billion transition of representing various OIL Marketing Companies in Tanzania on a dispute which arose from supply of contaminated fuel, formed the joint fact finding team at PBPBA, the negotiation team and was later instructed to initiate Arbitration proceedings in London under ICC Rules.
