Faustin Malongo

Overview

Before joining PIER Advocates, Faustin worked with IMMMA Advocates from September 2001. In 2003 he was admitted as an advocate of the High of Tanzania and Courts subordinate thereto. He then worked with IMMMA Advocates as an Associate Incharge of Mwanza Branch until in 2007 when he became a Partner of the said IMMMA Advocates managing the business of the said Firm in the Lake Zone. In February 2020, Faustin joined PIER advocates. In addition to being a Partner at PIER Advocates, Faustin is also head of the firm’s office in Mwanza. The Mwanza office serves clients in the Lake Zone of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Faustin has a well-rounded knowledge base and expertise in Commercial Litigation, Telecommunications, Corporate, Mining, Banking and Finance, Employment and Labour and conveyance.

Representing various companies doing business in the mining sector such as North Mara Gold Mine Limited, Bulyanhulu Gold Mine Limited, Pangea Minerals Limited, Acacia Mining PLC, Geita Gold Mining Limited, Geita Gold Mine Limited, Sandvik Mining and Construction Tanzania Limited, Williamson Diamonds Limited, African Explosives Limited and Mantrac Tanzania Limited in the Court of Appeal of Tanzania, the High Court of Tanzania, subordinate courts and at the Commission for Mediation and Arbitration and in various transactions and matters.

Representing various telecommunication companies including Vodacom Tanzania PLC and Airtel Tanzania PLC and other companies including Bollore Transport & Logistics Limited, Tanzania Leaf Tobacco Company Limited, Puma Energy Tanzania Limited, Hotel Tilapia Limited, Mbalageti Safari Camp Limited, Fortes Africa Limited, Patel Trading Co.
